DOWNPIPE FT SECTION 2008 WRX / STi MANUAL

If your factory catalysts are tired, broken or missing PERRIN™ now offers a replacement catalytic converter that is approved for all states that do not require CARB approval.. Utilizing 3” 304 stainless steel, polished to a mirror finish, these are an excellent alternative to the inefficient factory replacements. Using a 200 cell metallic substrate, our converters are guaranteed to take the extreme heat produced by high horsepower motors and do so for miles and miles. Below are dyno graphs showing both our front and rear sections being installed at the same time.  Keep in mind these DP's have a cat in each piece meaning 2 cats total, like the stock exahust.  While this is not the normal type of downpipe you will find, we will show you how you can make lots of power and still be legal.  This shows Stage 1 ECU tuning with a catback already installed.  As quick as we could we swapped out the stock downpipes for our 3" downpipes and got great gains!  10WHP and 20ft-lbs of torque!

The results with further tuning with the complete Turboback exhaust are amazing!  Before the ECU didn’t like any additional timing up top, now with the freer flowing exhaust the engine was much less prone to knock and liked to run a little leaner. The leaner mixture, and additional timing up top is very noticeable, and no longer does the car feel like it totally falls flat on its face above 5500rpm.  This below run is the results had with further ECU tuning, which we call the stage 2 setup.
